The EUROsociAL+ Programme has worked with Brazil on several reforms of key public policies to improve social cohesion. It coordinates its action with Brazilian institutions through the Brazilian Agency of Cooperation and the European Union’s Delegation in the country. EUROsociAL+ started the dialogue with Brazil in 2016, identifying a portfolio of actions that have now been implemented. After the change of government, and in view of the need to open a dialogue with the new authorities, a mission was carried out in May 2019. In December 2019, the country round table was held that included a workshop on strategic prioritisation of joint lines of work. In 2020, two pre-round tables were held virtually, due to the pandemic, to continue the process of coordinating actions that are now in progress. In September 2020, the new Roadmap with supported actions for the 2020-2022 period was approved by the EU Delegation, the Brazilian Cooperation Agency and the programme.
