The EUROsociAL+ Programme accompanies Bolivia in several reforms of key public policies to improve social cohesion. It coordinates its actions with the Bolivian institutions through the Ministry of Developmental Planning and the European Union’s Delegation in the country.
Bolivia participates in the EUROsociAL+ Programme, in its three activity areas, to acquire the best practice of its Latin American and European peers in the:
- Social Policies Area: with the line of action on policies of social inclusion and the fight against poverty, optimising the management of Bolivia's social programmes is promoted. This is carried out by the Ministry of Developmental Planning to reduce the inequality gap and improve social cohesion.
- Democratic Governance policies area: along the line of public finance, the Ministry for the Economy and Public Finance is supported in the development of sectoral models which rate the risk of tax non-compliance, with the objective of increasing tax collection in Bolivia in an equitable manner.
- Gender Equality policies area: the parity line was worked on regarding the strengthening of the the Electoral Tribunal’s democratic parity observatory, where a system of indicators on harassment and political violence is implemented, as well as compliance with parity and the exercise of women's political rights.
Bolivia participates in the EUROsociAL+ Programme as a transferring agent with regard to its good institutional practices in the field of women's insertion into the workplace.
