Implementation of the National Employment Agency of the National Apprenticeship Institute
The creation of the National Employment System (SNE) of Costa Rica, through Executive Decree of June 10, 2019, aims to reinforce active employment policies in a dynamic labor market that requires people with greater training and qualification capabilities. The creation of the SNE —in addition to being a requirement of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in the process of incorporation of Costa Rica—, responds to an articulated process between the central government, the private sector and the union, who will have representatives in the National Employment Council, which constitutes the maximum authority space of the System.
