Transparency Series I: Inter-American Model Law on Access to Public Information 2.0 (regional)

Transparency of political parties, access to information from the judiciary and archive professionalisation are some of the essential improvements proposed by the Inter-American Model Law 2.0 regarding access to public information. This law, which renews the laws of Latin American countries that are part of the Transparency and Access to Information Network (RTA) supported by EUROsociAL+, aims to improve the access of citizens to information from public authorities.
We interview Gabriel Delpiazzo, president of the Executive Council, Access to Information Unit of the AGESIC of Uruguay and Dante Negro, director of the Department of International Law of the Organisation of American States.
