Corruption and gender series: Rosario Susana Lopez Wong, senior prosecutor specialising in human trafficking crime in Lima

Rosario Susana López Wong is a senior prosecutor specialising in crimes of human trafficking in Lima. She is Peru’s public prosecutor office coordinator for the Central Unit for Assistance to Victims and Witnesses.

In this interview, she focuses on the importance of making corruption visible and raising awareness that it is a facilitator of human trafficking. Joint, comprehensive and holistic work from the Prosecutor’s Office with different social actors is therefore essential in order to neutralise and lessen the negative effects of human trafficking in Peru.
