We talk about the…National Employment Service of Costa Rica with Andrés Valenciano

In this interview, the president of the National Learning Institute of Costa Rica (INA), Andrés Valenciano, analyses the support of the Social Policies Area of the EU EUROsociAL+ Programme. This support to strengthen the National Employment System (SNE) has enabled the improvement of the country’s employability indexes, that is, to harmonise the supply and demand for labour and to generate quality employment.

Valenciano refers to the SNE and its operational tool, the National Employment Agency (ANE) as an essential advance in the modernisation and digitalisation of employment services, as well as the adaptation and improvement of vocational training programmes, something which is even more necessary in the pandemic we are going through. On the other hand, the president of the INA alludes to the institution’s challenges and the importance of advancing in terms of employment at the regional level.
