The new government administration in Uruguay resulted in an encounter between national public institutions, led by the Uruguayan Agency for International Cooperation, and the European Union, to review joint lines of work within the framework of the EUROsociAL+ Programme.

The Uruguayan Agency for International Cooperation and the European Union approved the roadmap for 2021 with actions focused on achieving a reduction in inequalities and an improvement in social cohesion; that will strengthen Uruguay's public policies and that will implement the EUROsociAL+ Programme in conjunction with national institutions.

To strengthen this public policy, and with the support of EUROsociAL+, the Uruguayan Government organised a series of activities involving the participation of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MTSS), the National Institute for Employment and Vocational Training (INEFOP), the National Administration of Public Education (ANEP), the Council of Professional Technical Education (CETP/UTU), the Technological University (UTEC), the PIT-CNT, the Chamber of Industries of Uruguay (CIU) and the National Chamber of Commerce and Services of Uruguay (CNCS).

Within the framework of 8 March, International Women's Day, and under the slogan "Gender in childhood and adolescence: cultural change and public policies", the National Institute of Children and Adolescents of Uruguay (INAU) carried out a series of instances of knowledge exchange and training on a gender perspective with the support of EUROsociAL+, through the area of Gender Equality at Expertise France.
