The webinar is an opportunity for dialogue between data protection authorities to incorporate the gender approach into their competences. The main objective is to promote the exchange of experiences, tools and good practices on gender and digital education from a preventive perspective and with a view to implementing best practices in the study plans of the participating countries. By extension, this virtual meeting contributes to the fight against violence that occurs through the internet, especially violence which infringes the rights of women and young people in the school environment.
The topics addressed during the webinar are structured into three main blocks:
- Digital education
- Institutional strategies to combat digital violence, especially against women, girls and adolescents
- Civil society initiatives to fight digital violence
This event was organised by the Spanish Cooperation Training Centre in Cartagena de Indias and involved the Ibero-American Data Protection Network , the Spanish Data Protection Agency and the EUROsociAL+ Gender Equality Policies area.
