What is sexual corruption? Does it affect men and women equally? What is the definition of sextortion as a criminal offence? What is the link between corruption and human trafficking? These are some of the questions that this activity has tried to answer.

Corruption is not neutral. It impacts differently on women and girls in Latin America who experience corrupt practices more frequently and in specific ways because of their gender and their vulnerable situation. Understanding these differentiated impacts of corruption on women and girls in Latin America and generating public policy proposals to address this problem are the project objectives of the EU EUROsociAL+ programme “Women and Corruption” and the work articulated with the Ibero-American Association of Public Prosecutors, AIAMP, through its Anti-Corruption and Human Trafficking networks – PROTEX.

This activity has been co-organised by the Ibero-American Association of Public Prosecutors (AIAMP), the Ibero-American Network of Prosecutors against Corruption and the Democratic Governance policy area of the EU EUROsociAL+ Programme.
