Comprehensive Employment Promotion Plan

Uruguay has decided to advance in the strengthening of active employment policies (PAE) to facilitate, for applicants and unemployed workers, the possibility of accessing decent jobs and promoting entrepreneurship. The Ministry of Labor and Social Security (MTSS) through the National Employment Directorate (DINAE), with the support of EUROsociAL+, has developed during 2021 the action presented in this report, whose main objective is the design of the Plan Comprehensive Employment Promotion Plan (PIPE), a plan that responds to two purposes: joining forces with institutions in the world of work to promote more and better services for (re)employment, and thereby benefit the vulnerable population (young people, the elderly, 45 years, people with disabilities), and women; and strengthen programs and projects to support people in the search for and finding employment alternatives.
