Strengthening of the Family Police Stations to deal with violence in the Covid-19 context

This EUROsociAL+ action, at the request of the MJD, is part of the Colombian government’s efforts to advance policies to combat gender-based violence (GV) that are framed in Law 1257 on awareness, prevention and punishment of forms of violence and discrimination against women (2008), as well as in the technical guidelines for Family Police Stations (FC) in terms of a comprehensive approach to GBV in the family (2012), which articulate the key moments of care in light of the competencies assigned by law to said police stations. In 2019, the government regulated by decree the care measures of the Family Police Stations.
