Ximena Concha is a consultant for EUROsociAL+ and former director of Chile Valora. In this interview, she explains what national vocational qualification systems are and what role competency certification plays in employment policies. The Social Policies area of the EU EUROsociAL+ programme is working in these areas through the strengthening of the National System of Professional Qualifications, specifically in Paraguay, and the installation of a system of homologation of the professional competences of the countries of the Pacific Alliance (Chile, Mexico, Peru and Colombia), which seeks to benefit labour mobility in this geographical area.
