Encuentro birregional del Programa EUROsociAL
The pandemic has caused a crisis of enormous proportions, although its effects vary by country and region. The Latin American and European countries have applied extensive mitigation measures, with the challenge of facing critical aspects in their societal models. The absence of new measures and public policy interventions could deepen inequalities.
This bi-regional dialogue, organised by the EU’s EUROsociAL+ Programme for Social Cohesion, is aimed at addressing the role of social resilience in recovery and reactivation plans in Europe and Latin America, in other words, how such plans connect an economic relaunch with social investment.
During the webinar, the questions that arise when facing the effects of the pandemic in terms of social cohesion will be addressed: “welfare systems”, fiscal policies, public capacities for implementation, public-private coordination and gender equality. All this within the framework of the recovery and reactivation plans designed in Europe and Latin America.
