Website of the Meeting of the Gender Equality Policies Area (coordinated by Expertise France)
On 3 and 4 March, the high-level Euro-Latin American meeting “Two Continents for Equality” took place in Paris. In the run-up to 8 March International Women’s Rights Day, the event was an occasion for dialogue between ministries and mechanisms for the advancement of women from both regions in order to exchange good practices to address a challenge: achieving financial independence for women.
The challenge encompasses several regional problems (equal access to education, early motherhood, job insecurity, equal pay, the work-life balance and care) that require an intersectoral response. The meeting is organised by the Gender Equality Policies area of EUROsociAL+ and the French Ministry responsible for gender equality, diversity and equal opportunities, within the framework of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
This event is not organised by the French Government. However, it is authorised by the Government to use the emblem of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
