With the support of the European Union EUROsociAL+ Programme, from its Social Policies Area in IILA, the Ministry of Productive Development of Argentina has been implementing an action for the development of Triple Impact entrepreneurial ecosystems.

The support seeks to establish public actions to stimulate local, provincial and/or regional entrepreneurial ecosystems that enable the promotion of sustainable enterprises that contribute to the productive development of the country, generating added value and creating employment. At the same time, the intention is to leave capacities installed in the Entrepreneurship Networks promoted by this same Ministry.
To this end, a workshop was developed with experiences from Brazil and Italy, following a face-to-face meeting between Marías Kulfas, Minister of Productive Development and Aude Maio-Coliche, ambassador of the European Union in Argentina, which formalised the start of the EUROsociAL+ support.
The topic that was particularly addressed during the workshop was regarding strategies for the survey of triple impact initiatives. This survey will make it possible to select two territories where triple impact ecosystem pilot experiences will be developed and from which lessons will be drawn to define a guide that can be shared in the country’s municipalities. The meeting was attended by the Human Foundation from Italy, which was able to share the Italian and European perspective on the subject, and Pipe.Social and Estrategia ENIMPACTO from Brazil, which shared the experience of the platform used in Brazil for the general picture regarding impact businesses. In addition to the need to clearly establish criteria and definitions to be used in the mapping, the presentations and debate that arose with the Argentine authorities highlighted the importance of advancing with a public policy that promotes the sector, likewise through appropriate mechanisms such as public procurement in this type of companies.
Triple-impact ventures are currently not sufficiently promoted in Argentina and, despite their multiple benefits, they are not provided for through specific treatment in state regulations. These types of undertakings introduce a responsible and conscious look at the rational use of resources and the positive impact on society.
