Distance education has become a necessary resource in times of pandemic, accelerating a process that had been gradually building up in most countries, in parallel with face-to-face education. What challenges does distance learning present? How do we make it inclusive and bridge technology gaps?
We analyse this issue in the following interview with Professor Gino Roncaglia, tenured lecturer at Roma Tre University, an expert in digital media, e-learning and digital uses of the Internet. He is one of the authors of Italy’s National Digital School Plan and a regular on television programmes about culture and new media.
