National triple impact investment and business strategy in Brazil
Author / Authors: María de Barbieri, Rosina De Mucio y Natalia HughesPublication date: 20/05/2022
This study is the result of a collaboration between the Brazilian Ministry of Economy and EUROsociAL+, to strengthen the National Strategy for Investments and Impact Businesses – Enimpacto-. The document compiles the best practices of Enimpact to be replicated in other countries. Its purpose is to promote impact businesses, a new economic sector, still expanding, that is capable of developing creative solutions to social and environmental problems. Its format is innovative because it articulates all the actors of the impact ecosystem in a horizontal governance structure, which unifies the Federal Executive Power, the Legislative Power, state and municipal governments, civil society organizations and the private sector. In this structure, solutions, programs and incentives are co-created to boost the impact sector, promoting initiatives that were previously carried out in isolation.
