Support for the formulation of a legal framework for residences for the elderly

With the support of the EUROsociAL+ program, the conceptual bases for the regulation of RPMs have been established with a focus on rights and gender, and towards comprehensive care centered on the person. During the course of the support, the work of the Intraministerial Board of the Ministry of Health (made up of the Secretariats of Access, Equity and Quality) was established and strengthened; dialogues were held with other national organizations (PAMI, DINA PAM, MDS) as well as institutions academic, non-governmental and associations of residential establishments; a Health Advisory Council for the Elderly was also established (made up of elderly people with an outstanding track record in issues related to gerontology) and finally Federal Board meetings were held with the provincial authorities of social and/or health development and national organizations involved.
