Overcome the fragmentation of pension systems: Exchange of experience between Argentina and France Summary

Organized by EUROsociAL +, in December 2020 several meetings were held between officials from the French Social Security Directorate (DSS), the Retirement Guidance Council (COR) and the Argentine Social Security Secretariat. This publication is the product of this exchange of experiences between the Secretariat of Social Security of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security of Argentina and their peers in France, in order to improve the Argentine social security system. The choice of France’s experience arises because both countries are going through pension reform processes, and have a similar characteristic in terms of the fragmented architecture of the different pension regimes and the pension funds that administer them. Lessons and experiences of pension systems, which may be useful to other countries in the region.
