Action protocol for the request for information between Public Defenders of the region, in cases of migrants and refugees.

This action protocol proposal standardizes the cooperation and information exchange processes between public defenders and Associations of Public Defenders that are members of the AIDEF within the framework of the Inter-American Network for the Defense of Persons in the Context of Mobility.

The Inter-American Network for the Defense of People in the Context of Mobility is a cooperation initiative created within the framework of the AIDEF, with the purpose of improving the standards of orientation, representation and defense of the rights of migrants and refugees in the region. This network responds to a growing need, due to the increase in migratory flows and the increase in the situation of vulnerability of the migrant and refugee population due to the impact of the pandemic and, consequently, greater and more complex demands for access to justice that must be covered.
