Technical-professional education and training (TVET) is a little used tool to strengthen the labor inclusion of the young population, and of people in general. Increasing the educational level of the economically active population of Central America and the Dominican Republic can make it possible to advance in productive systems with greater added value and productivity, and improve income and the quality of employment. EUROSociAL+ has been accompanying the countries of the region, with theoretical and practical support, in improving TVET systems, with successful cases.
This publication is part of this trajectory and we wanted to highlight the learning identified and the achievements obtained by sharing what works, inspires and can be useful both for decision makers and for those who work in the field of TVET in the region. This publication has been prepared as a didactic guide that, in an agile and practical way, provides critical keys to improve TVET. We hope that it will be useful for those who want to work on strengthening social cohesion because, without a doubt, investing in education and technical-professional training, especially in young people, is a way of reversing inequalities, generating opportunities and promoting social cohesion. .
