The importance of social protection is highlighted as a strategic pillar for reducing multidimensional inequality in El Salvador. Various international organizations agree that the Salvadoran economy will be one of the most affected by the current pandemic in the Central American region, with a drop in economic growth between 8.6% 1 and 9% 2.
