Guide for rural women in access to justice and land

Author / Authors: Carmen Miguel y Norma Villarreal
Publication date: 08/02/2021

The relevance of this Guide comes from the diagnoses made. In them, it was identified that rural women experience different obstacles to accessing justice and land, such as structural discrimination, general ignorance about their rights to land and about issues related to situations of gender violence. It was also identified that women have a need to obtain information on how to access justice in order to make their rights effective. This Guide is for rural women, and its objective is to collect and provide useful information to help improve their access to justice and land, and their management in situations of gender violence. This guide contains the answer to each identified problem: the rights that rural women have, protection routes or access to rights, and the competent institution to solve said problem.
