Publication date: 01/06/2022

The Social Policies area of the Eurosocial Program has been supporting the improvement, modernization and innovation of the Public Employment Services -SPE- of various countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Work has been done to reposition the PES in its relationship with companies, ceasing to be services that focused primarily on job seekers (people), to services that are also useful to companies, responding with appropriate profiles to the demands of the business sector. The PES must be agile, proactive services that seek to expand, improve and expand the work of constant collaboration with companies, to give them effective answers, as well as those who are looking for a job. This document systematizes learning for decision-makers and technical teams of the Public Employment Services —and operating entities—. It offers a set of proven, effective and replicable tools that will help improve the management of these services.
