Author / Authors: Carlotta Gradin y Bénédicte LucasPublication date: 20/05/2022
The Gender Equality Policies Area of the EUROsociAL+ European Union Program and the Ministry of Equality between Women and Men, Diversity and Equal Opportunities of France, created a space for Euro-Latin American dialogue between ministries, secretariats and institutes for the promotion of women’s rights, in order to share their best practices regarding the pending challenge of achieving women’s economic autonomy. On March 3 and 4, 2022, in Paris, the high-level meeting “Two continents united for equality” was held. Twenty-five institutional delegations participated —thirteen from Latin America and twelve from the European Union— and six regional organizations, key players in the promotion of women and their rights in both regions. This document systematizes the scope of the meeting.
