This document describes the health and dependency conditions in Mexico, particularly of the elderly, as well as the main socio-demographic and economic characteristics of this group. It also analyzes the supply of dependency care services, the regulations on aging and disability, as well as the role of the government and the private sector in the provision of services. This technical note is part of a series of studies on aging and care services for dependent people in Latin America.
